Description:
Recombinant Tobacco Etch Virus protease (rTEV) is a recombinant expression in E. coli, with DsbA fusion tags cysteine protease. TEV recognizes the amino acid sequence of the general form Glu - Asn - Leu - Tyr - Phe - Gln - Gly/Ser, and cleaves between Gln and Gly/Ser, between amino acid residues can be cut with the identification of sequence of fusion protein.
Source: E. coli.
Molecular Mass: Approximately 51.5kD.
Purity: ≥95%.
Endotoxin Level: <1EU/µg, determined by the LAL method.
Unit Definition:
One unit is defined as the amount of enzyme needed to cleave 3 μg of fusion protein in 1 hour to 85 % completion at 30°C in a buffer containing 50 mM Tris-HCl, pH 8.0, 0.5 mM EDTA, and 1 mM DTT.
Formulation:
50mM PBNa, pH7.4, 50 mM NaCl,5mM DTT,1mM EDTA, 50% glycerol.
Storage:
rTEV in 50mM PBNa, pH7.4, 50 mM NaCl, 5mM DTT,1mM EDTA, 50% glycerol should be stored at -20℃. It would be stable for 3 years when stored properly.
For Laboratory Use Only.
